In 1967, she got her first Bollywood debut ‘Taqdeer’. Jalal is very popular for her role in 1971 movie “paras“, 1991 movie “Henna“,1995 famous Bollywood love story film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge‘. She is a strong female character in the 1990s and the early 2000s.

In the 1990s Jalal participates many major hits in India. Some of “Raja Hindustani”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai “, Dil To Pagal Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum and “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”.
