Career

In his childhood, he starts playing cricket. Being an elder sibling he starts working on a shopping mall as a retail salesman and supports his family. His family fortune change when he was selected during the trial for representing the Pakistan u-19 cricket team.

In England, he started playing county cricket but he did not stay there long. He moves to south Africa where he plays domestic cricket for five years.

He started his cricket career from Pakistan. At the age of 26, he was married to south African woman Sumayya Dildar and become the resident of south Africa.

In south Africa, he plays many trophy like friends provident trophy against Sussex. On 28 August 2009, he made his career-high score 77 not out in a county championship against Somerset.

In 2018 IPL auction Tahir was selected by the Chennai super king. He is also selected fro Nelson Mandela Bay Giants in October 2018.

Imran becomes a quickest and feat south African bowler because he reaches 100 ODI wickets in 58 matches.
