About Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is a prominent Indian politician from Himachal Pradesh. He has been serving as the 7th Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh since 11 December 2022.His political career began with the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI). He served as the NSUI President from 1989 to 1995 after which he became the State Youth Congress Secretary and later its President.Sukhu entered the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly for the first time in 2003 and was re-elected in 2007 and 2017 as a member of the Indian National Congress (INC).In December 2022, he was again elected to the Fourteenth Vidhan Sabha for his fourth term from the Nadaun Constituency and on 11 December 2022, he took oath as the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh.
