Political Journey
Bhupendra Patel’s political journey began as a member of Memnagar Municipality, where he grained strong grass roots experience. He later assumed greater responsibility at the city level, serving on the Ahmedabad Municipality Corporation School Board and leading its standing committee.
In 2017, he entered state politics by winning the Ghatlodiya seat in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly elections. Following the resignation of his predecessor, Patel was unanimously elected leader of the BJP Legislative Party, and sworn in as Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2021.
The people of Gujarat shoed their trust in him during the 2022 elections. Under his leadership, his party own a major victory and Bhupendra Patel became Chief Minister for a second term.

1. Historic 2022 Election Win
In 2022 Gujarat Vidhan Sabha Elections, his leadership helped the BJP win 156 out of 182 seats, the biggest victory in Gujarat’s history, forming the government for the 7th time in a row.

- 1.17 crore unorganised workers registered under the e-Shram portal and given smart cards.
- 14 lakhs + houses built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
- Free food grains distributed to 72 lakhs NFSA families, covering 3.82 crore citizens under PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
- Youth Empowerment
- Established Kaushalya – the Skill University to link education with job-focused skills.
- KSU Launched an advance Drone Courses in 2024.
- Supporting Farmers
- 11058.59 crore transferred directly to 58.79 lakh farmers under MP-KISAN.
- 1925.89 crore given to 12.78 lakh farmers under various relief packages.
- Healthcare Improvements
- PMJAY-MA assistance doubled from 5 lakh to 10 lakh.
- 2.6 crore citizens receive free treatment through Ayushman Cards.
- Launched Namo Shree Yojana offers 12,000 for institutional deliveries.
- Education Sector
- Vidya Samiksha Kendra launched to provide real-time data insights to ensure School Education.
- Namo Lakshmi Scheme launched to reduce dropout among girls in classes 9-12 by offering 50,000 over four years.
- Namo Saraswati Vigyan Sadhna Yojana provides 25,000 to encourage students to pursue science in classes 11 and 12.
