Rekha Gupta is an Indian politician and lawyer who is currently serving as the 9^th Chief Minister of Delhi. She is a well-known leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has been connected with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since her childhood. She is the 4^th woman is Delhi’s history to become Chief Minster, after Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dikshit and Atishi Marlena.

Rekha Gupta stared his political journey in 1992 when she joined Daulat Ram College at Delhi University and became a member of the student union Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

She was elected President of the Delhi University Student’s Union in 1996. Later, she served as a councilor in the North Delhi Municipality Corporation for Uttari Pitampura in 2007 and 2012. Later, became Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Shalimar Bagh constituency, eventually rising to the post of Chief Minister of Delhi.
