Narendra Modi is an Indian politician and a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In 2014, he led the BJP to a big victory in the Lok Sabha elections and took oath as the Prime Minister of India.Before becoming country’s prime minister, he served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. Narendra Modi is the leader of the House and a member of Lok Sabha from Varanasi. In the 2019 general elections, the BJP again won a clear majority, and Modi was sworn in as prime minister for a second term.In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP did not get a majority on its own. However, the BJP-led NDA alliance won 293 out of 543 seats. This made it possible for Narendra Modi to take oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third time in a row.
