Pema Khandu, son of former Arunachal Pradesh CM late Dorjee Khandu, is an Indian politician and the 9^th Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, serving since 2016. He belongs to the Monpa tribe and was ranked as the second richest Chief Minister of Indian in 2024 by the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR).

Since taking office, he and his government have changed party affiliations from the Indian national Congress (INC) to People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) in September 2016, and later to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) in December 2016.
